I began life in the South Okanagan. Both of my parents were teachers. Mom was a special education specialist and dad taught senior high math and physics. It is no wonder that I ended up in education. I had originally planned to become a church minister, but following a year of Bible College, I determined that was not to be my career. Following four years at the University of Lethbridge, I graduated with a dual major in biology and psychology. The next five years I attended the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, graduating with a doctorate in Chiropractic. This led to a fifteen year practice in British Columbia. Finally, I returned to the University of Lethbridge for two years and obtained my education degree, which ultimately brought me to the Peace Region fourteen years ago.
